Valentione’s Day 2025 started today in FFXIV and thank goodness it did! In the real world, I enjoy Valentine’s Day because all the heart decorations, cute stuffed animals, and pretty flowers in stores help combat the continued blah of winter. But today, as most days lately, I really needed a distraction from the real world and seeing all the heart and flowers decorations in FFXIV for the event quickly lifted my spirits.
I made a couple Valentione’s themed glams for D’azri and Kibbles yesterday and I’m sure I’ll make more for other characters I play. I’ll be cranking out the Dalamud red dye on any characters I can for my own glams and to sell on the market board for others. There are many in-game decorations that aren’t obtainable though so I’ll just wander around and enjoy those as I can.
I won’t reveal anything about this year’s Valentione’s Day event quests because it just started today and I don’t want to post spoilers but I will say I found it short, sweet, and cute. The emote you acquire by doing the event is called bouquet n was revealed when the event dates were announced so I have no problem posting pictures of it and emotes from past events.
I’ve done the event on D’azri and my three highlander ladies so far because I always feel like highlander hyur females deserve more love. That’s a post for another time perhaps. I look forward to making event-themed glams for my highlander girls, Lavanda, Vruzette, and Yorhu, but they’re already quite beautiful in my opinion.
In-game events tend to be a time when I’ll get obsessed with playing a particular character so they can partake in the feelings or appearance of the event. It’s a good way to refresh my interest in my many alts. I’d already planned on playing my highlander girls more for a gpose prompt list I came across so we’ll see where that leads me. For now, I’m just happy logging in to see the festive decorations and crowds of players participating in the event quests. It helps me get outside my own head and into a different world that I have the power to help with amazing magical abilities. Abilities that usually inspire me to strive for great things in my everyday life.
